Bana Solomon is the owner and Director of Windrose Care Home. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science Administration and Management from California State University, East Bay. Based on her early interest and passion for the elderly, Ms. Solomon began her early career volunteering at Kaiser Permanente, where she helped implement preventative care apps for the elderly. She also volunteered at Highland Hospital, where she served as a health advocate for community patients who were underserved and in need.
In 2016, Ms. Solomon continued to pursue her passion and get into the senior healthcare business. She decided she wanted to focus on helping seniors age in place. That is when she decided home care agency was the answer and started Home Helpers of Santa Rosa which focused on specializing in comprehensive home care for seniors requiring recuperative and extensive personal care services. In 2018, she decided to expand to the East Bay and opened up her second home care agency Home Helpers of Berkeley.
One of Ms. Solomon’s defining strengths has been her expertise in detail, training, and oversight for delivering individualized care plans, which has been the cornerstone of her successful home care agencies.
With an exponential increase in demand for residential care needs during the COVID pandemic, Ms. Solomon was inspired to establish Windrose Care home, offering a 24-hour affordable alternative to her home care agency.
Having staffed skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and independent living arrangements, as well as memory care and other Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs), Ms. Solomon is well-positioned to apply the depth of her experience, expertise, and resources towards the residential care home.
